This manual covers the comment-based custom fields included in Comment Toolbox for Jira Cloud. These fields turn Jira comment data, such as comment content, authors, dates, and activity counts, into searchable and reportable information.
After installing the app, create the required Comment Toolbox fields and add them to the relevant Jira screens. You can then display comment insights on work items and use the fields in JQL searches, saved filters, dashboards, and reports.
Comment Toolbox for Jira Cloud is built on Atlassian Forge and run natively inside Jira Cloud. No setup is required beyond installing the app from the Atlassian Marketplace.
