 7.2 Filter pill reference

All

Displays all pages found in the scan, with the number indicating the total count.

Open

Pages without restrictions, accessible to all with space access.

Restricted

Pages with at least one explicit restriction set, regardless of who is searched

View Restricted

Pages where viewing is restricted to specific users or groups.

Edit Restricted

Pages where editing is restricted to specific users or groups.

Has Access

Pages that at least one searched user or group can view - shows open and restricted pages with explicit access.

No Access

Pages where at least one searched user or group lacks view permission.

Others can view

Pages viewable by users or groups other than those searched

Others can edit

Pages editable by users or groups other than those searched

 7.3 Common tasks

Grant access to all pages

Select users → Scan Space → SELECT ALL PAGES → Grant View + Grant Edit

Remove edit access after offboarding

Select user → Scan Space → Filter: Has Access → SELECT ALL → Remove View/Edit

Find pages a user cannot see

Select user → Scan Space → Filter: No Access

Audit who can edit a page

Run scan → check Other Editors column for that page

Open up a restricted page to all

Select page → Open up content… → Choose open type → Confirm

Check action history

Scroll to Action history at the bottom of the app

7.4 Limits & notes

  • Permission Explorer & Manager for Confluence scans the space you open it from only

  • Space-level permissions are not managed here - use Space Settings → Space access for those

  • Large spaces with many pages may take longer to scan

  • Bulk actions apply one API call per page; changes take effect immediately

  • Open up content cannot be undone from within the app, restrictions must be re-added manually in Confluence

  • This report covers pages visible to you as a space admin for the broadest view
