Label Manager for Confluence adds bulk label management to Confluence Cloud. Instead of opening each page to edit its labels, you select a label, choose the pages to apply it to, review the summary, and confirm - the app handles the rest.
1.1 The Three Operations
|
Operation |
What it does |
Best used for |
|---|---|---|
|
Add Bulk Labels |
Applies one or more labels to selected pages. Existing labels are preserved. |
Tagging new content; applying baseline labels across a space. |
|
Replace Bulk Labels |
Swaps an existing label for a new one. The old label is removed; the new one is applied. |
Renaming labels; restructuring a content taxonomy. |
|
Remove Bulk Labels |
Strips specific labels from selected pages without touching any other labels. |
Cleaning up deprecated or incorrectly applied tags. |
All three operations are available for both pages / blog posts (Content Label Operations) and file attachments (Attachment Label Operations).
Permissions: The app only modifies content you have edit access to. Pages outside your permissions are automatically skipped and reported in the post-run summary.
1.2 The Four-Step Wizard
Every operation follows the same four-step flow. Completed steps are marked with a green checkmark in the left-hand progress sidebar.

1.3 How to Open the App
Both modals are launched from the same menu on any Confluence page:
-
Open any page in your Confluence space.
-
Click ⋯ (More actions) in the top-right corner of the page toolbar.
-
Click Apps to expand the installed app actions.
-
Choose the operation you need:
|
Menu item |
Opens |
|---|---|
|
Page Label Operation |
The Page Label Manager - for labeling pages and blog posts. |
|
Attachment Label Operation |
The Attachment Label Manager - for labeling file attachments on the current page. |
Tip: The Page Label Manager is space-scoped - all content accessible to you in the current space is available regardless of which page you used to open it. The Attachment Label Manager is page-scoped - it lists only the attachments on the page you opened it from.
